Waltair Veerayya Movie Review
Waltair Veerayya Movie Review
After Godfather, Megastar Chiranjeevi came up with a vintage Mass Movie Waltair Veerayya. And Bobby after the festive blockbuster of Venky Mama starring Daggubati Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya in lead roles. As we know Ravi Teja is already in Success mood and played a cameo in this movie. So let’s watch whether this movie reached the expectations of the audience or not.
Analysis: It’s always curious to see how a fanboy directs his demigod. Bobby comes up with a subject where he can show Chiranjeevi in all shades and he succeeded majorly in bringing back Vintage Chiru. As Waltair Veerayya, Megastar is charming with dialect, attire, and massy screen presence. Shruthi Hassan and Catherine Tressa got good roles. Raviteja is terrific as ACP sagar. I am so proud of Ravi Teja and the way he shared the screen with his favorite hero and his hero lighting him a cigarette.
As a fan, nobody needs more than that. Prakash Raj is good as Villain and Bobby Simha is wasted considering his caliber. The rest of the characters did what is expected of the role. After watching Waltair vVeerayya and Veera Simha reddy – One thing we have to accept is that Our demigods Like Chiranjeevi and Balayya are getting old. You cannot expect the same fireworks as they use to do 10-15 years back. Kudos to their energy at this age and passion for cinema. I am hoping they would start doing more experimental movies with out-of-the-box concepts.
Plus:
Vintage Chiru – Acting, Screen Presence, Dance, Mass, and Comedy Timing (Especially Chiru Humming Jambalakidi Jaru Mithaya and Moonwalk in Police station)
Introduction of both heroes
Interval Bang.
Poonakalu. Song and BGM (Especially Interval)
Ravi Teja Excelled as ACP Sagar.
Emotional Scenes
Few imitations of old Boss movies
The banter between Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja
Minus:
The second half could have been trimmed, especially the last song.
Poor VFX in the Weak Climax.
Should have done a better job in writing and execution.
A few scenes between Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja could have been avoided as they seem a bit repetitive, and kind of feel lengthy toward the end.
Rating: 3.25/5
Verdict: Fan Boy moment for Bobby. – Sankranthi Entertainer. Sure Fans, masses, and Families can go watch…
